It’s been so long since I have felt like sitting down to sew. So I decided to do something small to get back into it. Stitch Upon a Time Bunzies seemed like a good quick project to get back into sewing. I had some leftover jersey knit from my Simplicity 8379.

Instead of using the fabric bands I I decided to use a light pink stretch lace.

I don’t have a serger so I just used a narrow zig zag stitch to finish the crotch. Is there a better word than crotch? It’s kind of the worst.

It is pretty impressive how fast these come together.

I found out that I prefer the elastic a little tighter so I cut it a little shorter than my fabric and stretched the elastic as I sewed.

Here they are! I’m not super in love with them because the fabric I chose stretched a little too much and they are little too big. I might tweek them a bit and give it another shot. This is a really nice way to use little scraps of knits though!

I’ve got some larger clothing items in the works!

I made these with the self-fabric band and they are actually my favorite underwear! They give a flattering line. That being said, they’re the only underwear I’ve made; I may try a Kwik Sew next.
